Questions about how to learn more about the technique and how to obtain the training boxes utilized in this method of training are also growing in frequency. While it should be understood that the boxes themselves are nothing more than a tool in this technique, they are still a very important tool. It should be understood that the boxes do not do the training. The trainer does the training and the boxes are a clever tool that greatly assist the trainer in this technique. Detection Training Boxes

Single Training Box - Front View During the past several months Alpha K-9 has worked closely with engineers to help design a more efficient and effective “Detection Training Box”. Utilizing exact measurements and contracting professional cabinet designers to insure exact fits and durability are just a few of the measures taken to help devise the perfect training tool. Utilizing a sealant (common in most every piece of furniture and cabinet) reduces the amount of moisture absorbed by the wood (dog odor, saliva, dirt etc) allowing the box to be wiped clean with a moist cloth. For those planning to buy one box so they can take it apart and build their own, if you ask somebody who has tried this, I think they would readily tell you that there is much less headache and backache in just purchasing the finished product.

Single Box - Rear View The price of each individual box is $149.00 and is sold and shipped in crates containing 5 boxes per crate bringing the price of one crate to $745.00 excluding shipping. 10 boxes is enough to set up a short-rack and have 3 or 4 boxes designated for different substances. Each box weighs just over 14 Pounds bringing the shipping weight to just over 70 pounds. · Limited to 20 Handlers @ $250.00 each = 5000.00 (covers fee and expenses)

An excellent orientation and introduction into this method designed to give the handler and trainer an excellent insight into this training method. Notice must be at least 3 weeks prior to scheduling the seminar. This seminar is very similar to the seminar that Randy currently performs for the “Gulf Coast HIDTA Program” combining classroom and practical.

3 WEEK HANDLER'S COURSE

· Price - $3500.00 per Handler

The Handlers Course is structured to assist handlers with their own dogs in starting and continuing this method. Handlers will work for three weeks training their dogs with Randy Hare in every facet of this training technique. Handlers along with their dogs should depart the course with a clear understanding and direction in this method with unlimited assistance following the course. Lodging is available on a limited first-come-first-serve basis at $30.00 per night. Check with Alpha K-9 for upcoming dates on future Handlers Courses. A 10% deposit is required to secure your spot in the course.

Course Includes/Requires:

· Each Handler will be allowed to bring one K-9

· K-9 must have health certificate and pass selection test

· Handlers will be limited to 6 Handlers Per Course

· K-9s will be trained on the Short Rack, exposed to the Oral Bridge , and trained to transfer to the Oral Game with precision and accuracy

3 WEEK TRAINERS COURSE

· Price - $4500.00

Stack of 5 Boxes The Trainers Course is structured toward the departmental trainer or professional trainer responsible for turning out multiple dog and handler teams over a 6 to 12 week period. Focus will be on utilizing this method to assist trainers in educating their k-9 teams to reach a common and efficient goal. In this course it is “you - the trainer” performing the training behind the Short-Rack under Randy’s guidance. Trainers will be walked through every aspect of this method from preliminary shaping to the oral detection response To learn the dates of the next available " Trainers School " contact Alpha K-9. A 10% deposit is required to reserve your spot in the course. Lodging is available on a limited basis at $30.00 per night on a first-come-first-serve basis.

· K-9s must have health certificate and pass selection test

· Trainers Course will be limited to 6 Trainers

· Each segment of the method will be explained and experienced in detail with the trainers performing the training responsibilities.
